London day trip June ’17

London is always a fantastic place for a day trip.

We had to arrange our Visas at the Indonesian Embassy. This is situated behind Westminster & is therefore a great location to plan a walk incorporating The Houses of Paliament, Big Ben & then down to the Thames.

My tips & a plan for a more extensive walking tour (including the main sights) can be found here.

Although only a week after the terrorist attack at London Bridge & Borough, London was buzzing with tourists (& everyday life). Our visit was the day after the General Election, so it had an added buzz.

We had a mixed bag of weather with rain in the morning & sun in the afternoon.

Unfortunately our Visas were not ready on the day, so another trip to London is planned before we leave.
