Vientiane, the capital of Laos, is our last stop, before going back across the border to Thailand.
It is more like a medium sized town than a capital city, with a very relaxed, open space feel.
One thing that we immediately noticed, is the lack of traffic pollution compared to the other Asian cities we visited. This is because four by four cars seem to equal, if not out number mopeds.
There are a lot of Westerners & Thais living here, and a number of major businesses including international banks, Sky & WWF for example. Laos is a poor country compared to some of its neighbours, but you would not guess so if you judged it solely by looking at Vientiane city.
