Full of charm, culture & history and just down the road from Chichen Itza. This is an ideal place to stay & use as a base to the surrounding historical sites & cenotes.
The town has its own cenotes, ancient convent & beautiful Cathedral/churches.
There are many restaurants serving authentic Yucatan/Mayan dishes. Although in the afternoons coach trips stop off here, the city does not feel touristy at all. Mostly it is the bustle of daily local life. On Sunday nights a band plays in the square & the locals fill the street to dance.
